Assignment accepts any file type however only PDFs are able to be annotated. As long as students have uploaded their assignments as PDFs, lecturers are able to add comments directly to this PDF within eBwise.

Add annotation on submission file

Under the course page, click the Assignment that you want to grade.

Click on the Grade button to access the grading page.

System will display the PDF submission file from student and lecturer could see the Annotate toolbar at the top right of the file.

Lecturer can choose to rotate the PDF by 90 degrees to left or right by clicking the first two icons on the toolbar.

To add a comment, lecturer can click the comment icon and drag a comment box to where you want it. Type your comment into the box.

Lecturer can write or draw using the pen, draw line, add square or circle shape and also highlight the text on the PDF. Color can be changed for all of these options.

Lecturer also can add a stamp and there are varieties of stamps that can be choose as below:

Once done with the annotation, enter the marking grade and the feedback.

Scroll down and check Notify student if you want the system to send email notification to student about the grade.

Click on Save changes to save the progress only or click on Save and show next to save the grade and move to the next student.

Delete annotation

Lecturer can delete annotations by selecting the arrow icon and click on the annotation. Then click the dustbin icon. Delete comments by clicking on the drop down list under the comment and selecting Delete comment.
