Make Course Announcements to Specific Class Section

Students will get a notification from your announcement through email.

Steps

Create a new forum

Under the course introduction section, click on Add an activity or resource and choose Forum as the activity .

Under General section, enter the Forum name and the Description.

Under the Subscription and Tracking, choose Forced Subscription to ensure students getting the email notification for each announcement posted.
Note : Please be informed that notification will be sent to all lecturers teaching the same subject. The Group restriction apply only on students.

Under Restrict Access section, select the group or class section that you want to tag to this new announcement forum. Make sure you click the eye icon to hide the announcement if the student not belongs to that group.

Click Save and display to proceed to create the forum.
Next you can start adding a new announcement to the new forum. Kindly refer to this Make Course Announcement guideline.
